For long campfire evenings, look for:

• Padded seating and a high backrest that reaches your neck and upper back — not just your lower spine
• A wide, stable base that does not rock on uneven ground
• Built-in cup holders so you are not holding your drink all night

Our double camping chairs and padded single chairs work well for this. If extended use is the priority and you are camping at a national park or an RV site with a dedicated fire ring, a slightly heavier chair with more padding is worth it over a lightweight backpacking option.

Single chairs seat one person and are easier to reposition — great when you are moving around a campfire or switching spots during a backyard gathering. They are also lighter and easier to carry one-handed from the car.

Double chairs seat two adults side by side on a shared frame. More popular for couples and for backyard evenings where you want to sit close without pulling two separate chairs together. If you camp solo or in a group where everyone wants their own spot, go single. If you mostly camp or relax with a partner, a double is a comfortable choice.

RV campers have a specific need: the chair has to fold flat enough for a truck bed or storage bay and be easy to carry between sites. Look for a chair with a carry bag and a shoulder strap.

Every chair comes with a carry bag so you can pack it back without pieces coming loose. They are designed to be moved around — picked up, repositioned around a fire, and loaded in a truck — without any hassle at the end of the day.

With regular outdoor use across camping weekends, RV trips, and backyard gatherings, our chairs are designed to hold up across multiple seasons. Steel frames are powder-coated to resist rust. Fabrics are selected for UV resistance and weather durability.

Keeping the chair dry and stored in its carry bag when not in use extends the life of both the fabric and the frame joints. Leaving a chair folded outdoors in wet conditions for extended periods causes fabrics to degrade regardless of build quality.

Yes. Our chairs use a four-leg frame with a wide stance that provides stability on most outdoor surfaces — packed dirt, grass, gravel, and slightly uneven terrain. The base footprint distributes weight evenly so the chair does not rock during normal use.

On very soft ground like loose sand or deep mud, placing something flat under the legs helps. If you are camping on consistently rocky terrain, a chair with a lower center of gravity tends to be more stable.

Spot clean the fabric with mild soap and a damp cloth. Most fabrics are not machine washable — check your specific product page for care instructions. Do not machine wash as this breaks down stitching and fabric coatings over time.

For the frame, wipe down with a dry cloth after use in wet conditions. If pivot points start to feel stiff after extended use, a small amount of silicone spray on the hinges keeps them moving smoothly. Always let the chair dry completely before folding and storing to prevent mildew.

Our heated double camping chair uses built-in heating panels powered by an included power bank. The heating panels warm the seat and back areas. The electrical components are weather-resistant for normal outdoor conditions. Do not use in heavy rain or leave unattended while connected to power. The power bank is rechargeable via a standard USB-C cable before your trip.

Yes. We offer free standard shipping on all orders to the contiguous United States (lower 48 states). No minimum order amount, no hidden fees. We currently accept PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account — you can check out as a guest using a Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover card. The guest option appears on the PayPal page after you select PayPal at checkout. We are working to expand our payment options in the future and will update our Payment Methods page when that changes.

Orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days. After shipping, standard delivery takes 3 to 7 business days depending on your location. Total estimated delivery: 4 to 9 business days from the date of purchase.

We process orders quickly. Contact us at support@alertasi.com with your order number as soon as possible and we will do our best to help before fulfillment begins. If your order has already shipped, it cannot be cancelled in transit. You can request a return once the item has been delivered. See our Returns and Refunds Policy for details.

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery for unused items in original condition. No restocking fees. To start a return, email us at support@alertasi.com with your order number. Alertasi is an outdoor retail brand operated by IRONTRAIL AUTO PARTS LLC, a registered U.S. business based in Kalispell, Montana. We are a small team that spends time outdoors ourselves — camping in Montana's national forests, heading out on road trips, and spending evenings in the backyard.

We started Alertasi because we kept running into the same problem: chairs that were comfortable enough to sit in for hours were usually too bulky to pack, and the ones that folded flat were too flimsy to last a season. We built a store around finding the ones that do both.

We are a retailer. We source folding chairs from suppliers, select products based on durability and real-world usability, and sell them directly to customers through our online store. We are not a manufacturer.

Our value is in the selection process — we visit supplier showrooms in person, sit in the chairs, check certified test documentation, and only carry chairs we would bring on our own trips. We have passed on chairs where the frame flexes noticeably under sustained weight, where the padding compresses flat after the first hour, and where the carry bag does not actually fit the folded chair. The chairs we carry passed those tests.
